Our Mission Statement:

The Highlands High Library Media Center is an inviting place where students, staff and administrators know they can go for collaboration and individual learning exploration. It is our goal to meet the needs of our teachers and students not only through collaboration but also in supporting their curriculum with our collection. We promote academic excellence by a focus on literacy and critical thinking skills through students interests and academic needs. By staying aligned with the school comprehensive improvement plan, we strive to keep our collection current, and diverse, better meeting the needs of all learners through print and digital materials. We aspire to make the collection, the HHS LMC and ourselves openly available to students and staff in hopes of teaching all how to properly access correct and current information in multiple formats (digital/print) and to be able to utilize the material found to formulate new ideas. Through the feedback of students, parents, community and staff, we improve upon our services to best meet the needs of our students learning.
